The Rundown: January 2018
Over the holidays at Jersey Watch HQ, we drank eggnog, ate comfort food, and introduced some new features for youth sports websites. Here’s what we’ve been working on…
We’ve been listening to your feedback, and have implemented a more advanced multi-player discount system for your online registration programs. With the new system, you can set up 2nd, 3rd, or 4th player discounts for when the same user registers multiple participants for your programs (when a family has multiple children playing at your organization). This discount system also works with a group of programs.
For instance, lets say you have 3 active programs, and you want to setup $10 off for the 2nd player, and $20 off for the 3rd player. You can now link all 3 programs, so that no matter what order the same user signs up in, they will receive the appropriate discount. If this is something you’re interested in for your programs, just send us an email at email@example.com
When a user register’s more than one player, you have more options to give them an automatic discount that will display when they register for additional players. This can be applied at several different levels with variable discounts. Good news for the Octomom!
Another popular request has been for the ability to reorder the way your programs are listed on your registration page. We’ve added some simple up and down arrows you can click on your active programs that will reorder them on your website.
Just click the up/down arrows next to your Current Programs to adjust the order of the programs on your website.
Previously these were ordered by default based on when your program closed, but we learned a lot of organizations have high priority programs open all year that they want listed at the top – so we responded!
Finally, we’ve spent some time once again improving the speed of your websites. After the improvements were implemented, the first page load time is about 3 times faster than it previously was. Since the majority of users that visit your website are visiting from a mobile phone, their experience will be much quicker whether they are on high speed WiFi in their house or LTE in the remote backwoods.
For those of you in the cold weather… try to stay warm and we’ll see you next month!
