Oregon Crew Soccer Club
The Oregon Crew Futbol Club was founded in June of 2008. The reason for the creation of the Club was simple: to offer children in the community the advantage of playing soccer on a more structured, competitive level. At the inception of the Oregon Crew Futbol Club, 6 teams were formed with volunteer parent coaching staff and a board was created to oversee the Club. The board at this time consisted of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and 1 board member.
The 2014 year has been a very good year for the Oregon Crew Futbol Club in terms of growth and coaching. Beginning with growth, our club has grown to a total of 11 teams, ranging from U8 through U14 with both boys and girls teams. The growth of the Oregon Crew Futbol Club is attributed to some great success that each team has seen on a competitive level, as well as an increased knowledge that our coaches have gained. Several coaches have been certified through the youth module U10-U12 license, as well as obtaining their License D. Dave Prediger, Assistant Coach of the Mens Owens Community College Soccer Team, along with some of his current players were brought on to teach foot skills to the teams once per week through the winter months and spring season. Dave has proven to be a great asset to our program!
In addition to growth, the board has added additional board members since its inception. We play all U8-U12 home games at Oregon Rec South Coontz Soccer fields, off Starr Ext. Our U13-U14 home games are played at Oak Shade Grove (GAF) complex off Seaman Rd in Oregon.
